Celebrating Community Triumph: St Columba’s College Sets New Record at Columban Fayre! 🌟

We are thrilled to share the incredible news from St Columba’s College! Our community rallied together at this year’s Columban Fayre, raising a jaw-dropping £27,000 – surpassing last year’s total! 🎉 This achievement underscores the unwavering support for our beloved college and emphasizes the event’s significance in our annual calendar.

A massive ‘Thank You’ seems insufficient to express our gratitude, but sincere appreciation goes out to each member of the Columban community for contributing to this remarkable success. Your generosity has left our Headmaster, Karl Guest, “lost for words.” 🙏

The funds raised will drive the development of our school’s sports facilities and the creation of a Forest School, directly benefiting the young minds that make St Columba’s College so special.

In the spirit of giving back, we’ve chosen to support various charities close to our hearts:

– CAFOD:A long-standing partner, our donations will aid the World Food Crisis Appeal, offering practical help to those in need, irrespective of religion or culture.

– Youth At the Margins and Iconhope: Continuing our tradition of supporting Brothers of the Sacred Heart Charities, we’ll contribute to sister schools in Haiti and the Philippines through these projects.

– The British Heart Foundation: In memory of former Headmaster David Buxton, funds will support the foundation’s crucial work.

– Rays of Sunshine: Bringing joy to seriously ill children aged 3-18 by granting wishes and providing ongoing support in hospitals.
