Spread the Joy: Christmas Jumper Day for a Cause!
As the festive season approaches, we are excited to announce an event that not only embraces the spirit of Christmas but also contributes to a meaningful cause. On Friday, 15th December, our entire school will come together for a Christmas Jumper Day, a delightful tradition that promises to fill our halls with joy, laughter, and the warmth of the holiday season.
A Festive Twist for a Noble Cause
This year, the Senior School is on a mission – a mission of compassion and service. In lieu of the Christmas Jumper Day, we invite all students to wear their most festive and creative Christmas jumpers to school on the last day of term. In exchange, we encourage a donation of £1 or £2, with all proceeds going towards the Student Mission Trip.
Supporting the Student Mission Trip
The 2024 Mission Trip, organised in collaboration with other Brothers of the Sacred Heart schools in the US Province, will take place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, hosted by Catholic High School. Four members of the Lower Sixth will embark on this incredible journey, aiming to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
The mission is not only about providing aid but also about fostering connections with students from sister schools, sharing values, and reflecting on our shared charism. In the past, our students actively contributed to the Hurricane Ida relief efforts in Louisiana, engaging in tasks such as painting newly rebuilt homes and aiding in the recovery of homes damaged by water. The funds raised through this Christmas Jumper Day will directly support the materials needed for this year’s outreach project.
Get Festive, Get Involved!
We invite every student to participate in the Christmas Jumper Day and spread the festive cheer. While it’s not mandatory to take part, we encourage everyone to showcase their creativity with the chance to win prizes for the best jumpers. Remember, even the smallest contribution makes a significant impact.
Please note that students are required to wear their school trousers/skirts and shoes, ensuring a harmonious blend of festivity and school uniform guidelines.
