Bursaries
In keeping with the founding spirit of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, the College may offer to eligible parents or guardians, some means-tested financial support towards the payment of tuition fees for children entering the Senior School at a standard point of entry (September entry for Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12).
Such support is known as a Bursary, and Bursaries may be awarded in the form of a discount up to 95% on tuition fees payable. A limited number of Bursaries are available to families who meet the entrance requirements for the Senior School and show exceptional academic promise.
Full details can be found in our Scholarships, Bursaries and Financial Aid Policy.
Parents should read the policy carefully before requesting a Bursary application pack. A Bursary application requires details of income, expenses, assets and liabilities and must be accompanied by full documentary evidence.
The below criteria are very likely to disqualify Bursary applications, and parents in any one of these circumstances should not apply;
- family income of >£85,000 p.a.,
- significant savings or investments, and
- the ownership of property other than the home in which the child resides
All requests for Bursary applications must be made by the College application deadline 15 November 2024. Any Bursary requests made outside these dates will not be considered.
Parents and guardians who wish to apply for a Bursary should request a Bursary application pack, by ticking the relevant box on the College application form and by paying the relevant College application fee. A Bursary application pack will then be sent out directly from the Bursar’s office. Bursary applications must be returned to the Bursar’s office prior to sitting the entrance assessments.
