Sixth Form (16+) Admissions Dates
St Columba’s College Year 11 Students
At St Columba’s College we believe strongly in the journey continuing through to age 18, so we do not ask for a formal application from our Form 5/Year 11 students. In mid-October, the Headmaster will write to all students in Form 5 who we feel will be suitable for A Level studies and will offer them a conditional place for the following September dependent on achieving the required grades. These students will be asked for their A Level selection by early November, in order to confirm their place in the Sixth Form.
External Applicants
All external applicants must complete the Sixth Form application form and provide a copy of their latest school report. A confidential reference will also be sought from the candidate’s current school.
Applicants who are successful at the application stage will be invited to attend an interview with the Head of Sixth Form.

Entry Requirements for Sixth Form are:
- A minimum of 6 x Grade 6 at GCSEs
- At least a Grade 5 in Maths and English
- And meeting minimum grade requirements in the subjects they choose to study at A-Level
