The Homeless Sleepout
The Homeless Sleepout, which took place on the evening of Friday 22nd March through to Saturday morning, saw around 40 students sleep out around the school site in order to raise money for Open Door, a homeless services charity based in St Albans.
The event was led by members of the College’s Sixth Form and combined indoor and outdoor activities along with workshops to improve the students’ understanding of the difficulties facing members of the local community – and beyond – who are experiencing homelessness. The event, which was attended by students in Years 9-11 and had been running since 2017, raised £1,800 in donations for Open Door.
