Equality Diversity Inclusion
Welcome to our Inclusion Hub, a place to promote and celebrate the successes and movements we make as a school to adapt and learn about changes and developments in society, to ensure our students feel seen and heard in our Columban community.
As a college, we pride ourselves on adapting and growing, to be the best sanctuary for our students we can possibly be, and being inclusive of our different roots and identities that make up our Columban community is a vital piece of this. Through the work of our EDI working group and members of the student body, we strive to be an adaptable and inclusive community, uniting our students in our shared vision of inclusion.
Active Things happening at the moment:
Our Religious Education department delivers a diverse curriculum to the students, widening their knowledge of the world of religion, but also of different EDI issues that face our young people today. On top of this, we regularly use pastoral periods twice a week, to dedicate time to pressing issues that face our students today.
The Student Voice group actively asks and responds to student participation and feedback, to ensure that all voices from the student body are seen and heard, something we feel matters the most when crafting the sanctuary, we wish to consistently deliver our students.
