St Columba’s College is delighted to announce a new partnership with St Albans City FC for the 2026/27 season, bringing together two organisations that play an important role in the life of St Albans.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting young people and investing in the future of our city. It also provides an opportunity to strengthen the connection between education, local sport and local business.
Recognised among the Top 200 Sports Schools in the United Kingdom, St Columba’s is proud of its sporting heritage and the opportunities it provides for young people to develop their talents. Football has a long and successful history at the College, with teams reaching national finals and bringing home silverware, while former pupils have progressed into professional and semi-professional football.
This partnership is a natural fit, aligning with the College’s sporting strengths and its commitment to developing confident, well-rounded young people.
Commenting on the partnership, St Albans City FC Commercial Manager, Tom Dean, said:
“I’m incredibly proud to welcome St Columba’s College as a partner of St Albans City FC.
“As a former student of St Columba’s, this partnership is particularly special to me personally. I know first-hand the impact the school has on the community and the city, and it is fantastic to now see the school and the football club working together.
“I’ve kept in touch with students and teachers from the school over the years, so I’ve been able to see the continued impact that St Columba’s has on the young people who pass through its doors and the wider community around it.
“For me, this is exactly the kind of organisation that we want to be aligned with as a football club. St Columba’s shares many of the values that are important to us, particularly around community, development and giving young people opportunities to grow.
“We’re really proud to have them as part of the Saints family and we’re looking forward to working together throughout the season.”
