A child reaches compulsory school age on 31 December, 31 March or 31 August following their fifth birthday (whichever comes first). Therefore:
- A child turning 5 between 1 September and 31 December will be able to use Childcare Vouchers/Tax Free Childcare towards their fees in Michaelmas term of Reception year only;
- A child turning 5 between 1 January and 31 March will be able to use Childcare Vouchers/Tax Free Childcare towards their fees in Michaelmas and Lent terms of Reception year.
- A child turning 5 between 1 April and 31 August will be able to use Tax Free Childcare towards their fees in Michaelmas, Lent and Trinity terms of Reception year.
Once your child has passed compulsory school age, they will not be able to use Childcare Vouchers/Tax Free Childcare towards fees, however they will still be able to use these towards other eligible childcare, for example Prep Breakfast Club, Prep After School Care and Prep Holiday Club.
We do not offer the 15 or 30 hours funded childcare.
