Co-Curricular Activities at St Columba’s College

behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.

At St Columba’s College, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. Our pupils benefit from an exceptional co-curricular programme, with over 220 activities on offer each year. From sports teams, music ensembles, drama productions and academic societies to creative clubs, outdoor pursuits, and community service, there is something to inspire every child.

Why Co-Curricular Activities Matter

Developing the whole person - Co-curricular opportunities nurture creativity, leadership, teamwork and resilience, helping pupils grow in confidence and character
Discovering passions and talents - With such a broad range of activities, pupils can try new things, pursue existing interests and unlock hidden potential.
Building friendships and community - Shared experiences outside the classroom help pupils form lasting connections, creating a strong sense of belonging within the Columban community.
Supporting wellbeing - Participation in sport, the arts and wider enrichment provides a healthy balance with academic study, supporting both physical and mental wellbeing.
Preparation for life beyond school - The skills and experiences gained through co-curricular involvement prepare our pupils for future study, careers and life’s challenges.

At St Columba’s College, our commitment to holistic education ensures that every pupil has the opportunity to flourish both in their studies and in the wide variety of activities that enrich school life.
