Our story began more than 200 years ago, when André Coindre founded the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in Lyon, France. His vision was simple but powerful: to care for and educate young people, particularly those in need of support and guidance. That mission soon spread across the world. In the 1950s, St Columba’s became part of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart network. Today, we belong to the American Province, alongside ten other schools in various states of America and the Philippines. These deep foundations continue to shape our community and the way we do things today. From the very beginning, the focus has been on nurturing the whole child. and offering a values-led education for all our students.
Our ethos today is simple, yet profound: every student is known, valued, and treasured. This is the foundation upon which academic excellence and exceptional pastoral care are built. It’s how we provide an education that prepares our young people for the world beyond our gates, equipping them to lead lives of purpose and meaning, we call it our mission.
Your choice to select this mission is an investment in your child’s future. Our commitment is to ensure that your investment yields a return that is measured not only in examination results, but in the confidence, compassion, and integrity of the young adult who graduates from our care.
