Cadets go on CCF Weekend

Senior School CCF

Over the weekend, 43 cadets went on their first field craft weekend. We went to the Bramley Training Area near Basingstoke, which is an old World War One ammunition dump with old building and criss-crossed with old defunct railway lines.

We had planned to stay out overnight in a woodland harbour area (military camp site) but a yellow weather warning for high winds forced us back into one of the buildings. Fortunately this was a purpose built defensive FOB (Forward Operating Base), so we spent the time running defensive tactical battle simulations which was great fun when in a static built up position.

Well done to the cadets for working so hard and learning new skills. It was a brilliant weekend all round.
