Orff: Carmina Burana

The Columban Chorus, a vocal ensemble for parents, staff, friends, Old Columbans and members of the local community, will once again join with the College Choir to perform Orff’s famous Carmina Burana on Friday 11th May 2018 in the Coindre Hall.

This choral extravaganza takes place before Senior School Study Leave and will mark the end of the academic year for many senior boys. We will also welcome the Prep Chamber Choir and the Choir of Sacred Heart Primary School.

This massed choir event will include approximately 100 voices and I hope you will be able to participate as a member of the choir, or support as a member of the audience. New members are always welcome!

Rehearsals for adults will take place in Chapel between 7.30pm – 9.00pm on the dates listed below. I ask that you inform me as soon as possible of your availability for each so that I can ensure that we have enough singers at each rehearsal. It would be useful to indicate your voice part with your reply if you know it (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), but do not worry if you are unsure.

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Keith Brown

Director of Music
