The College invites Sixth Form students, and their parents, to the annual Leahy Lecture on Tuesday 20th March from 6.30-8.15pm. We are also inviting our current Forms 4 and 5 students and their parents, to give them a flavour of how we envisage their Sixth Form experience developing.
The inaugural lecture was led by Sir Terry Leahy and this will be our sixth annual lecture for both students and parents. This year we are delighted to welcome none other than Mr Lance Uggla. It will be in the form of a ‘fireside chat’ which will give you a real insight into Lance’s life and business acumen. Lance is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of IHIS Markit Ltd. He founded Markit in 2003 after spotting an opportunity to bring transparency to the credit default swap market. The company is estimated to be worth a staggering $19 billion dollars. I would encourage you to attend attend this event with your son and enjoy this social occasion. The talk will take place in the Sixth Form Centre and refreshments and canapés will be served from 6.30 pm. To ascertain numbers, I would ask that you RSVP by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday 15th March.
I look forward to seeing you on the 20th March.
Mr R McCann
Head of Sixth Form
