Ladies Evening at SCC

Events SSPA

SCC mums and friends enjoyed a great Ladies Evening, held by the SSPA in Founders Hall, on Friday evening. Guests enjoyed prosecco and canapes on arrival and were entertained by tenor and SCC parent, Neil Simon, who sang several well-loved arias. Shortly afterwards, the ladies were treated to a fascinating interview with acupuncturist, aromatherapist and entrepreneur, Annee de Mamiel, conducted by Louise Lear, BBC weather presenter and Columban parent. The audience were enthralled with Annee’s story about her life; growing up in rural Australia, working in the pharmaceutical industry and financial markets, battling a serious illness, taking part in an around the world yacht race, studying Chinese medicine, training as an acupuncturist and over the past few years, creating a product line of aromatherapy products. Anne spoke about her inspiration for developing the ‘de Mamiel’ product line, which is currently enjoying great success worldwide. Her business is growing in leaps and bounds and it was very evident that Anne is passionate about her products and the philosophy behind them.

After the interview there were a number of questions from the audience and everyone received gift bags with samples of de Mamiel products. Our thanks to Annee and Louise for their enthusiasm and for making this such a successful event.
