If you need a bit of exercise amongst friends, why not come along and try one of our rambles? Most walks are supported by between 10 and 20 people so there is plenty of opportunity to mix and socialize too. Anyone with links to St.Columba’s College, and their friends, are welcome to be a rambler. There is usually a mix of Old Columbans, parents, friends, and one or two dogs.
The rambles take between two and three hours and are over relatively easy terrain with occasional inclines in locations, which we rotate, to give everyone different experiences of the beautiful countryside that surrounds us in St Albans. Walks start at 11am and are circular, of about seven miles to eight miles in length, returning back to the same area where refreshments will usually be available in a welcoming local pub, if you so desire.
Dates and destinations of our rambles are published in the school calendar and further details are published on this web site the week before each ramble. Also notifications will be sent to all those who have registered an interest. If you would like to be notified of future rambles please contact Giles Harrison at: email@example.com.
We are delighted to welcome anyone to join us on the day. So please get in touch, stay in touch and come ramble with us!
