Trips, Visits and Workshops
In the Prep School, we run various educational trips throughout the year, as well as hosting educational workshops for the boys.
We believe that such events further enhance learning experiences for the boys in an enjoyable and memorable way.
Trips are organised across all areas of the curriculum. For example, Prep 5 have enjoyed a production of the Railway Children at Kings Cross Theatre, Prep 6 had a trip to the Globe Theatre and Tate Modern. In Prep 2, there will be a Viking workshop linked to their History topic and Prep 1 have visited Stockwood Park.
Some trips are cross-curricular. Upper Prep Computing & IT and Art students, for example, visit exciting places such as the Design Museum or the Warner Brothers Studio Tour and integrate techniques they learn in the workshops into their classroom projects. There is also be a joint Science and Computing & IT trip to the Science Museum.
We also run trips further afield, such as a French trip to the Lille Christmas Market, a Prep 5 residential trip to France and the Prep 6 Outward Bound experience in the Lake District. Prep 4 will have their first short residential trip to Suffolk too. In the summer term, we run a fun outing for the whole of the Prep School to an appropriate theme park. This rewards the boys for all their hard work over the year!
